Born in Reno, Nevada, raised on the edge of a little suburb looking east onto open desert expanse, the artist spent her youth in a place that felt limitless in both physical space and imagination.
She attended Seattle Central Community College, and earned a degree in sign language interpretation in 2001. Afterwards, she transferred to the University of Washington, Seattle where she graduated with a B.A. in philosophy.
In early 2005 she left Seattle and moved to Ljubljana, Slovenia where she lived and worked as an English teacher until returning to her hometown in July of 2006.
The artist currently resides in Reno, Nevada with her husband Ricardo Olvera.
She will graduate in May of 2011 with her Master in Fine Arts from the University of Nevada, Reno.
She has performed as part of the 2009 Nada Dada Motel art festival in Reno. She has also performed at the Sierra Art’s Gallery, and in the Sheppard Fine Arts Gallery in the University of Nevada, Reno.
